About Tikka
Our Polish princess and Queen Bee, Tikka, came to us eager to learn and to love and has truly been a joy since the moment she stepped her pretty paws into our home. Potty training was a breeze and she never once had an accident in her crate. She gets a spark in her eye and a pep to her step every time she knows a training session is about to start. A bright girl from the beginning, she is very treat motivated and quick to pick up new skills. That being said, she has a great "on/off" switch, meaning she is as equally happy during a training sesh or a long family hike as she is laying around like a slug on slow days or quietly offering emotional support when Mom has one of her migraines. Tikka is super chill at shows and can often be found giving her clean coat a neat dusting by laying outside the ring for a quick snooze before her turn. For that reason, we enjoy taking her to dog friendly restaurants because she will quietly lay under the table until we're done. She tends to be aloof but well mannered with strangers when out and about, but is always welcoming to children and so gentle with them. I've trusted her leash to 3 and 4 year olds during supervised walks and she loves being in the PeeWee ring with her little people during dog shows. However, when off the clock at home, she can sometimes forget how big her floofy booty is and so the kids know to jump out of the way of her hind end when the zoomies hit. Tikka thinks her job in life is to follow Mom about and get cuddles as much as she can. Normally a quiet dog, she will use her big girl bark to let any scary workmen know who is looking out for this family while Dad is away. She has been the perfect family companion and Mom's best friend and we're so excited to see what's in store for her. When she isn't mothering puppies (or the cat) we look forward to Draft work, Rally, and Obedience training as well as limited showing toward her Grand Championship. So grateful to have this beauty and all the incredible dogs in her lineage as the foundation of our program.

We believe that showing a dog to their championship demonstrates outside affirmation that the dog is an excellent representation of the breed. Additional titles are important to show that a dog is well-rounded and of stable temperament and good trainability.

Tikka's dam (Time to Shine Von Romanshof) is still alive and well at 6 yrs of age. Her granddam (A Secret Wish Von Romanshof) lived to the ripe old age of 10.1yrs and her grandsire (Qaiser Van't Stokerybos) is alive at 9yrs old.
Tikka's sire (Rich Riomadea Grande) just celebrated 11yrs of age! And her grandsire (Doremis Cool Iceman) lived to 10.5yrs old and her granddam (Gerda Riomadea Grande) lived to 10.3yrs old. There are other dogs in her line that have reached 12 and 13yrs of age and we hope with careful breeding and care to produce the same.
